APOD was proud to be part of the 2023 Riverland Field Days, connecting with veterans and their families in regional South Australia and bringing valuable support directly to the community.

Held in Barmera under perfect sunny conditions, the event provided a fantastic opportunity for the APOD team to engage face-to-face with local veterans, families, and support organisations. As always, the focus was on building connections, sharing resources, and ensuring regional communities feel supported and recognised.

APOD joined forces with a number of respected veteran support organisations, including Veterans SA, Open Arms – Veterans & Families Counselling, Legacy Club of South Australia & Broken Hill, Military and Emergency Services Health Australia, and Disaster Relief Australia. Together, they delivered important information, services, and support to those in attendance.

Across the two-day event, engagement was strong, with many attendees stopping by to learn more about the APOD App and how it provides access to thousands of exclusive offers across Australia. Feedback from regional members was overwhelmingly positive, particularly around the convenience of accessing discounts via the mobile app.

The event also welcomed new members to the APOD community, including a veteran and her daughter who signed up on the day — a reminder of the importance of continuing to expand awareness and reach, particularly in regional areas.

Beyond connecting with members, the APOD team also spent time with valued business partners such as Better Living Australia and Audika Hearing Clinic, exploring opportunities to further support and recognise defence and veteran families.

Events like the Riverland Field Days play an important role in strengthening community ties and ensuring veterans and their families — no matter where they are located — have access to the support and recognition they deserve.

APOD extends sincere thanks to all partner organisations involved, as well as everyone who visited the stand. We look forward to reconnecting at future events and continuing to support our regional defence and veteran community.
