Australian Partners of Defence (APOD) is proud to be nominated for the Champion of Veteran Employment award at the Prime Minister’s National Veteran Employment Awards 2025.

This prestigious award recognises individuals, organisations, and collaborations that have made outstanding and sustained contributions to supporting the employment of veterans and their partners.
Founded by a defence spouse and powered by a team with lived experience of service life, transition, and post-service careers, APOD remains deeply committed to creating real opportunities for the defence and veteran community.
Through identifying a clear need, APOD leveraged its platform to develop a dedicated jobs board — connecting defence families across Australia with a wide network of employers. The impact of this initiative is reflected in the stories shared by members who have not only secured employment but also rediscovered purpose and direction in their post-service lives.
Being nominated alongside other organisations making meaningful contributions in this space is both an honour and a reflection of the growing importance of veteran employment initiatives across Australia.
The top three finalists will be announced following the voting period, with the winner revealed at the awards ceremony in November.

APOD extends its thanks to the community, partners, and members whose ongoing support makes initiatives like this possible.
