DVA Veteran Card holders can now access the APOD program

The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) is working with Australian Partners of Defence (APOD) so Veteran Card holders can access thousands of offers through the APOD program.

The Veteran Card is a part of the Australian Defence Veterans’ Covenant which serves to recognise and acknowledge the unique nature of military service and the contribution of veterans and their families.

To effectively facilitate the program, APOD has been engaged as DVA’s service delivery partner. This will give:

  • Veteran Card holders access to a greater range of offers from businesses around Australia;
  • Ensure Veteran Card holders are easily able to search for and find details of offers in a closed membership site; and
  • Make it easier for businesses and organisations involved to keep their information, logos and offers up to date.

For more information about the Covenant and Veteran Card visit the DVA website.

A proven track record

APOD is the defence discount card enjoyed by 80,000 veterans and current serving defence personnel Australia wide and has been available to veterans and their families since 2012. We understand the sacrifices made in the name of service and have been committed for 9 years to creating the bridge between businesses and Australian defence families for those businesses that want to say thank you for your service.

We believe in supporting current serving defence personnel as well as veteran’s and the families of those in service.

We believe that businesses large and small should have an opportunity to show their gratitude to the defence community for their sacrifice in service of our country.

APOD’s mission is to make providing recognition to veteran families simple and easy for businesses and to provide veterans with both local and national discount offers across all industries, not just travel and leisure.

How do I become a Veteran Card holder?

Veterans and reservists can apply online via MyService. Existing DVA health cards will receive their new Veteran Card once your existing card expires and will be recognised by APOD during this time.

For more information about the Veteran Card or to find out if you’re eligible visit the DVA website.
